Meet Courtney
The heart behind The Adopted Granddaughter.
Helping seniors has always felt natural to me because it’s how I grew up.
I was incredibly close with my grandparents, and some of my favourite memories are the simple ones. If you asked my grandma what she’d like to do on an afternoon together, the answer was almost always the same: “Let’s play Skip-Bo and watch The Young and the Restless.” Those afternoons are some of my favourite memories. Looking back, I realize they were never really about the cards or the television—they were about spending time together.
I also loved being the granddaughter who helped with errands, tackled little projects around the house, or figured out whatever needed fixing. Whether it was organizing a room, putting furniture together, helping with technology, or lending a hand with everyday tasks, I genuinely enjoyed making life a little easier.
Those experiences shaped who I am today and inspired me to create The Adopted Granddaughter.
To me, support has never been just about checking tasks off a list. It’s about building trust, creating genuine relationships, and helping older adults continue living confidently and independently in the homes they love.
When you invite me into your home, you can expect one familiar face, dependable communication, respect for your routines, and support that’s tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether we’re heading to an appointment, organizing paperwork, putting together a new bookshelf, sharing a cup of tea, or simply chatting about your day, my goal is always the same: to make life a little easier and a little brighter.
My role isn’t to replace family.
It’s to become a trusted part of your support system, so you and your loved ones can spend more time enjoying the moments that matter most.

Everyone deserves to feel seen
Families deserve support too
What I Believe
My work is guided by a few simple things I believe strongly in.
Growing older shouldn't mean giving up independence
The little things often make the biggest difference
Support should feel personal
Relationships matter just as much as checklists
Why Families Choose My Support
Choosing support for a loved one is a deeply personal decision. I focus on building real trust through dependability, warmth, and a commitment to seeing each person as an individual.
A Personal Touch
Professional & Safe
Meaningful Connection
You’ll always know who is coming to visit — it’s me. I take the time to get to know each person, their routines and what matters to them.
The Adopted Granddaughter is fully insured, and I have a current Vulnerable Sector Check along with First Aid and CPR certification.
I believe the relationship matters just as much as the help I provide. My goal is to become a familiar, dependable presence you and your family can feel comfortable with.
